Mason jars are useful for so many things…let me count the ways…..
- Mason jar meals (pint size)
- Mason jar salad for on the go (quart size)
- Mason jar lemonade (half gallon size)
- Storing bone broth (quart size)
- Storing ginger scallion sauce (pint size)
- Storing leftover cauli or broccoli mash (1.5 pint size)
- Storing any kind of leftovers for that matter
- Great for pantry items/dry goods
- Making sauerkraut with kraut kaps or other airlock system (half gallon size)
- Some of them are even freezer safe! See this awesome chart from their website!
I have Ball jars in a variety of sizes and they are all so useful. They even come in fun colors! Stock up….you won’t regret it!
I love the white plastic caps from Ball Brand that are great for the fridge or on the go meals.
LOL I would enter if I didn’t already own 50

Thanks for this inspiring mason jar method for to storing meals. I just bought a few boxes of each freezer safe size! I’ve made several meals this way and I feel much more excited to eat my AIP meals! Question: Any tips on storing empty jars without taking up a lot of room in kitchen? I saved the cardboard “trays” the jars come in. Just hoping you have a brilliant idea for storing empties.

I have a big newly renovated kitchen so I have an entire lower cabinet devoted to my jar storage! I am a bit mason jar obsessed : ) I know there is something called jarbox that I looked into in the past..but I think it is more designed for transporting jars…but could be used for storage. You can look it up online… jarbox.com to see if that might help you at all?

Heh heh! That’s terrific. I’ll check out the jarbox out of curiosity, but perhaps it’s time I clear out an entire shelf! Thanks tons! 🙂
